In a move to bolster diplomatic relations, the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has conveyed a written message to Tharman Shanmugaratnam, underscoring the potential to enhance bilateral ties and cooperation between Qatar and Singapore. This message highlights the ongoing efforts by both nations to deepen their relationship and explore new avenues for collaboration.

The correspondence was delivered in person by Qatar’s Ambassador to Singapore, HE Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki. The ambassador met with Jeevan Singh, who holds the position of Director-General of the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia Directorate at Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to discuss the contents and implications of the Amir’s message.

During their meeting, the commitment of both Qatar and Singapore to strengthen diplomatic ties was emphasized.
