During a recent visit to Male, Saudi Minister of State Prince Dr. Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdulaziz engaged in discussions with the newly elected Maldivian President, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The visit coincided with the celebrations of the Maldives’ 61st independence anniversary, underscoring the strengthening ties between Saudi Arabia and the island nation.
Prince Mansour’s presence at the independence festivities highlighted the robust diplomatic relations that have been nurtured between the two countries over the years. His participation in the celebrations served as a testament to the commitment both nations have towards enhancing their bilateral cooperation.
Upon his arrival at Velana International Airport, Prince Mansour received a warm welcome from several key Maldivian officials. Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, the Maldivian Foreign Minister, was among those who greeted him. Joining the welcoming delegation were Mohamed Naseer, the Principal Secretary to the President on Foreign Relations, and Yahya Hassan Al-Qahtani, the Saudi Ambassador to the Maldives.
The meeting between Prince Mansour and President Muizzu provided an opportunity to discuss various aspects of their partnership and explore avenues for future collaboration.
