Russia’s perceived invincibility in the Ukraine war is tied directly to its nuclear arms, Ambassador Denis Alipov argued at an event in Gurugram.
He stated that Russia “can’t be taken over” in the conflict, and the “simple” reason is its nuclear arsenal, which makes defeat an impossibility.
Alipov also pointed to Russia’s formal doctrine, which allows for a nuclear response in the case of an “existential threat,” as the policy backing his claim.
This military reality, he suggested, is being ignored by European nations, whom he accused of “childish behavior” and “belligerence.”
He claimed Donald Trump, however, “understands” this “futility” and recognizes that the war “is lost by Ukraine and the West.”
